Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how VideoSaver (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application VideoSaver (the “App”), available on Apple iOS devices.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About VideoSaver
VideoSaver is a video utility app that helps you:
- Download videos from supported links (such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Vimeo, and direct video URLs)
- Import videos from your device
- Save videos to your Photos library
- Share videos with other apps
- Edit and process videos using tools such as trim, split, crop, merge, compress, effects, music extraction, and MP3 export
- Access optional premium features through in-app subscription
We designed VideoSaver to process most of your content on your device. We do not operate a user account system inside the App, and we do not require you to create a login to use core features.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
When you use VideoSaver, you may provide:
- Video URLs that you paste or enter to download content
- Videos and media that you import from your device or photo library
- App preferences, such as theme, haptics, and other settings stored locally on your device
We do not ask for your name, phone number, or home address to use the App.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, certain technical information may be processed automatically, including:
- Device and app information, such as device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, and general app performance data
- Download and processing activity, such as video metadata, file size, duration, download status, and error logs needed to complete your requests
- Subscription status, such as whether premium access is active, restored, or expired
- Local usage preferences, such as onboarding completion, theme selection, haptics settings, and review prompt history
Most of this information is stored locally on your device or used only to provide app functionality.
2.3 Information Sent to Third-Party Services
To provide certain features, the App may send limited information to third-party services, including:
- Video link resolution service: When you submit a video URL, the App may send that URL to our backend/link-resolution service so the App can locate the downloadable media file.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: If you purchase a subscription, Apple processes payment and subscription information according to Apple’s own privacy practices.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, purchases, and entitlement status. RevenueCat may receive app user identifiers, purchase history, product identifiers, and related subscription data.
- Apple review prompt: If eligible, the App may request an in-app rating using Apple’s system review dialog. Apple controls whether and when the rating prompt appears.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Resolve video links and complete downloads
- Import, save, edit, compress, merge, split, crop, and export media you choose to process
- Store your downloads and app library data on your device
- Save videos to your Photos library when you choose “Save Video”
- Enable sharing through iOS share sheets
- Manage free and premium feature access
- Process subscriptions, free trials, restores, and billing status
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and maintain app performance
- Remember your settings and preferences
- Comply with legal obligations
We use information only for legitimate app functionality and related business purposes.
4. Device Permissions
VideoSaver may request the following permissions:
Photos / Photo Library
The App may request access to your photo library so you can:
- Import videos from your device
- Save downloaded or edited videos to Photos
You can manage or revoke photo access anytime in your iPhone Settings.
Network Access
The App requires internet access to:
- Resolve video URLs
- Download media
- Verify subscriptions and restore purchases
Background Processing
The App may continue downloads or related background tasks so large files can finish even if you switch apps, subject to iOS system rules.
We only use permissions for the features you use. If you deny a permission, some features may not work.
5. Local Storage and On-Device Processing
VideoSaver stores much of your data locally on your device, including:
- Downloaded video files
- Generated thumbnails
- Edited or exported output files
- App library metadata
- User settings and preferences
Video editing and processing are generally performed on your device. We do not upload your entire video library to our own servers for routine storage.
You can delete downloaded content from within the App. You may also clear cached app data from Settings where available.
6. Third-Party Services
VideoSaver uses trusted third-party services to operate certain features. These providers process data under their own privacy policies:
Apple
Used for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, and system services such as Photos and sharing.
Apple Privacy Policy:
https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
RevenueCat
Used to manage subscriptions, purchases, restores, and premium entitlement status.
RevenueCat Privacy Policy:
https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Link Resolution / Backend Service
Used to process video URLs submitted by you and return downloadable media information needed by the App.
Because third-party providers may process data on servers located in different countries, your information may be transferred internationally as described in Section 10.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
VideoSaver offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions processed by Apple.
When you subscribe:
- Payment is handled by Apple, not directly by us
- We do not receive your full payment card details
- We may receive subscription status, product identifiers, transaction-related metadata, and entitlement information through Apple and RevenueCat
- Free trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by Apple’s App Store terms and your Apple ID settings
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in:
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
8. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
As of the date of this policy:
- VideoSaver does not display third-party advertising inside the App
- VideoSaver does not use third-party advertising trackers
- We do not sell personal information to advertisers
The App may use limited technical logging necessary for debugging, subscription validation, and service reliability. Apple may also collect information related to App Store purchases and device usage under its own policies.
9. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the App and meet legal obligations.
- On-device content remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
- Local app settings remain until changed or removed
- Subscription records may be retained as needed for billing support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance through Apple and RevenueCat
- Server-side logs, if any, are retained only for a reasonable period needed for security, troubleshooting, and service operation
When you delete content in the App, it is removed from your local library, subject to iOS system behavior and any temporary files automatically managed by the device.
10. International Data Transfers
If you use VideoSaver outside your home country, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where our service providers operate, including the United States and other jurisdictions where Apple, RevenueCat, or our backend providers maintain infrastructure.
We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and with appropriate safeguards where required.
11. Children’s Privacy
VideoSaver is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required by law in your country.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at dhara.divakar.apps@gmail.com, and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information where applicable.

- Access information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of information where applicable
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Request information about third-party sharing
Because much of your data is stored locally on your device, you can often manage it directly by:
- Deleting videos inside the App
- Revoking Photos permission in iOS Settings
- Clearing app cache from Settings, where available

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, and any content you choose to download, store, or share through the App.
14. User Responsibility and Copyright

- Ensuring you have the legal right to download, save, edit, and share any content

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or business practices.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the App or on our website.
